How to Harvest Calendula Flowers

Once Calendula flowers start to bloom, harvest often to help promote the plant to produce more! These are great for cut flowers, or harvest the flower-heads and dry for medicinal uses.

  1. Harvest Calendula flowers (after about 55 days of growth) by taking a pair of scissors and snipping the stem right below a flower bud (or further down on the stem if using for cut flowers).
  2. Continually harvest flowers, and the plant will keep producing more every day.
  3. Use fresh for decoration, or dry and make your own DIY soaps and bath salt-mixtures.
